Navy Shuler
Co-Owner
Navy was born and raised in the Smoky Mountains. He graduated from the University of Tennessee, where he played quarterback for the Volunteers. Navy has multiple years in the industry where he prides himself in organization, communication, and helping individuals with their insurance needs.
Grant Richardson
Co-Owner
Grant is a Knoxville native, and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a business management degree and collateral in entrepreneurship. Before graduation, he played football at a small college and coached middle & high school football. He has multiple years of commercial insurance experience and thrives from his character and work ethic.
Brooke Klepke
Office Manager/CSR
Brooke is originally from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and now lives in Knoxville after previously living in Ohio. She is known for her strong work ethic, organizational skills, and ability to connect with people. We are lucky to have her on our team.

Est. in the Smoky Mountains
Built on Trust, Grown Through Service
The man who laid the foundation for GIS TN was Steve Davis. Steve started his agency in 1975 in Waynesville, NC and grew his agency to being one of the largest independent insurance agencies in Western North Carolina. Steve was a great man of character, work ethic, knowledge, strong faith, and love for his family. Steve sadly passed away in March of 2026. His legacy still lives on today and GIS TN is proud to be a small piece of what Steve built and laid the foundation for how an independent insurance agency should be.
In our early years, we focused on building deep relationships with the nation's top-rated carriers. That groundwork gave us the ability to shop the market on behalf of every client — comparing rates, coverage terms, and carrier strength to make sure our clients always got the best available options, not just whatever was convenient for us.
As word spread throughout the East Tennessee business communities, we grew our commercial and construction divisions, developing specialized expertise in contractor insurance, surety bonding, and complex commercial risks. We invested in training and carrier partnerships to become the go-to agency for contractors across Tennessee and beyond.
Today, General Insurance Services Tennessee work across the Southeast and beyond serving clients from coast to coast while staying true to the personal, relationship-driven approach that started it all. We're proud of how far we've come — and even prouder that our growth has been built almost entirely on referrals from clients who trusted us enough to send their friends, family, and colleagues our way.
